Born on 7th of March, John Robinson has carved a central name for himself in various avenues. Born and brought up in India, he carries love for his motherland in every breath he takes. His dedication and devotion towards his country can’t go unnoticed. He is a man with variant shades of colours like a rainbow in sky. With every avenue that he launch or be a part of, his main motif is betterment and upliftment of the society and his country at large. He is a dynamic personality with involvement in vivid elds from being religious to social, media to literature, from political to cultural, the list is endless. Being a versatile personality he is better known as a laisioner in his social, religious, media & cultural circle. His rigorous work style and positive approach towards National and International matters has made him a man of great worth.
On the personal front he is a committed husband and devoted father of a daughter. His wife leaves no stone unturned to carry forward his mission and vision of work. She is also meticulously involved in social work. John Robinson started his life from a scratch without a penny. He has reached to a level where he is accessible not only on public forums but also on the virtual internet world. He completed his schooling and graduation in commerce from Lucknow. He went on to complete Masters in Business Administration from the renowned Delhi University.
Onto the path shown by his father he gradually and steadily inclined towards the eld of social work. In the year 2002, he visioned of doing something for the community and society at large. In year 2005, following his vision he initiated the work on the formation of a charitable organisation. It was in 2009, that the ‘Helping Hand Welfare Association (HHWA), a UN approved non profit organisation was formed. HHWAI s working towards community development and social upliftment. He is ardently focused on supporting only those who are deserving and actually in need of charity. The HHWA is known as Royal Foundation, in the US & UK. He along with his wife is the trustee. Due to its exceptional support in the eld of social and economic development the Royal Foundation was awarded the ‘Best Funder’ award in the year 2011. The
Foundation is also a co-partner of two private funding agencies, namely, Blue Star Foundation Inc. & Koch Foundation Inc.
Owing to his incredible involvement in social welfare issues he is persuaded and invited by many organisations as a guest speaker. He has bene ted and guided many social organisations with his words of wisdom. The Human Rights Forum has invited him many a times to speak on various issues. He is recently been invited to attend a meeting in California – ‘WCHRD’ (World Convention on Human Rights & elimination of Discrimination) as a guest speaker. He has intensively participated in the Human Rights Forum both nationally and internationally.
PROFESSIONAL FRONT
He started his professional career in September, 1993 with the UNHCR and has extensively travelled around the world visiting over more than 43 countries. He then went on to join TISCO (a company of the Tata &Sons) as the General Manager – HR and proved instrumental in formation and implementation of the policies which were beneficial for the labour & management as well. His expertise is still sought after by them for
resolving various management and labour related issues. He moved on to work with the Times Warner Bros. and it was here that he shifted to the world of media. He is always of the view that media is the third pillar supporting comprehensively and bridging the gaps between those in authority and the public.
MEDIA
With a zeal to serve the society by bringing in light the feigning truths and naked realities of life he entered the media world. He started his career as a correspondent in Times Warners Group and reached to a level of Group Editor for south east Asia in Asian News Network inc. Which was established in india 1932 in Kolkata after that bacame the india corporate company in 2010. Day to Day national and international issues. He is bacame a icon of unbiased journalist. The Ann till date now know as free fair journalism platform. During his tenure as a media person he added by bringing some of the ground realities in to limelight. His coverage about Ganges and Glimpses of India are few of the most popular series on Discovery and National Geographical channel globally. For an extensive and daring journalism work He has been awarded with seven awards. Four of them being government awards as ‘Best Journalist’. The South East Asian Journalist Association, Dubai award him as best editor award. He is also awarded by many association and federations mainly in India for the good work. His excellence in this eld was marked by Media Federation of India and was awarded ‘Best Journalist’ award from 2007 to 2011, till he became active as social worker.
